Why these numbers are worth trusting
The forecast comes straight from Open-Meteo. The typical frost dates are averaged from the nights that actually went below 0°C in the last 5 years — not from monthly average temperatures, which smooth frost away completely. Each crop has its own damage point and kill point, and every one of those numbers is published on its crop page.
One honest caveat: weather data is smoothed over terrain. A hollow, a rooftop, or a bed with nothing sheltering it will freeze earlier than any of these figures suggest. Treat the dates as a guide, not a guarantee.

We built a gardening game where the weather is your weather. Plant a tomato and it grows on your city's real forecast, day by day — one game day is one real day. When a frost like the one above arrives, it really does bite the plants.
