About
Garden goods chosen for an Irish year
Untold Seasons is a small garden brand based in Ireland. We’re putting together tools, everyday bits and seasonal decorations for gardens that get more rain than sun and never quite know what month it is.
Why we started
Most of the garden advice and kit you’ll come across was made with somewhere else in mind: hotter summers, harder winters, a proper dry spell now and again. Gardens here run to a different calendar. The grass keeps growing into November, the wind finds anything that isn’t tied down, and a frost can still turn up after a week of mild weather.
We wanted a brand that starts from that kind of year, and picks things that hold up in it.
What we’ll stock
- Tools for the jobs that come round every year: edging, pruning, raking, clearing.
- Everyday bits you go through and need to replace: twine, gloves, labels, fleece, ties.
- Seasonal decorations for the front door and the garden, from Christmas wreaths to lights along the hedge.
We’re keeping to things that travel well and last, so you won’t find live plants or seeds here.
Where things stand
The shop isn’t open yet. For now we’re choosing and testing what goes into it, and writing about the garden year as it happens here. If you’d like to know when it opens, the sign-up is at the bottom of this page.
Who’s behind it
Untold Seasons is run by Fan Yang in Ireland. We also make a free garden game that grows along with your local weather. If you’d like to get in touch, write to hello@untoldseasons.com.
